On To You (Revised 8-12-03)
You make a lot of promises and act like I can't see
That a whole lot of nothing is all you're offering me
You sing my praise on high and think I'll buy it all
But I've been sitting here alone waiting for your call
You give me tender kisses and expect me just to care
But when I need your kisses your lips are never there
You tell me quite a story and try to pass it off as truth
But when a lie is that thin who needs any proof?
You hold me up so highly and hope that I will bow
Playing your own game now but you never learned how
You whisper little nothings like I am going to melt
But you have never once asked exaclty how I felt
You sing a song of loving but can't recall the words
This silly situation is surely for the birds
You act like you have got me wrapped up neat and tightly
But you are only making yourself look fooslish nightly
You turn around and whisper and think I cannot hear you
If you knew. If you only knew. I'm on to you

Waiting, lies and games...not a good combination where love is concerned. You know, now what?
