RAPE
Wings are torn
Heart is broken
Body outworn
And cheeks are soken

I want to escape
And forget the sorrow
Of the night I was raped
Hoping for my last tomorow

Motionless from fear
His hands touching my chest
His breath smelling of beer
I can't write the rest

For each word falls a tear
Wishing to forget that awful night
Wishing someone were here
To protect me and tell me that everythings alright

Yet I am in the dark and completely alone
My hearts bleeding pain
And my body is as stiff as stone
I feel my self going insane

For a demon touched my skin
He held me down
On his face layed a pleased grin
As he turned my world around

I will never again feel the same
After what happened that night
I will forever live my days in shame
And forever live my nights in fright.

This is so sad, Whitney, but remember no matter how awful and ugly it makes you feel, you are still just as beautiful and lovely, and it makes you no less of a person than you were. My heart went out to you while I was reading this...you have such a gift for writing so beautifully about things so painful to you...I hope you find someone who can help you heal from the hurt.

warm hugz,
kate

Whitney,
This is one of the most saddening poems I've ever read, and my heart goes out to you. What could possibly drive a person to hurt someone else so terribly is something I could never understand, and though you write of something so painful and evil, you describe it in a way which somehow seems truely beautiful and heartfelt. I know that the events that day have probably caused deep scars within you that may never fully heal, but as long as you stay strong and hold your head up high it won't ever beat you. You're extremely brave to reveal such painful memories on this site, and this is a beautifully written poem.
