Who I Am And Who You Want Me To Be

I am yellow, Father.
Is that who you wanted me to be?  Made me to be?
If I live life in your path
Will you set the real me free?

Where is the rainbow I used to be?
Where are the bubbles reflecting light?
Where is the joy that made me ME?
Which part of this creation do I deny?

So lost in this vessel, Father.
So sad inside this yellow heart.
So in need of your touch right now.
Set me free.  Set me apart.

Brokenness is what you call for.
Loss of self and abandonment.
Here am I, Lord, crying out.
Take my color and use it.

Author's Notes:
Yellow is a category of a personality test I took.
Yellow = happy-go-lucky, afraid of confrontation, party type.
Green = Get r' done, take no prisoners, no time for touchy-feely-stuff.
Blue = Details, details!  Organized and structured.  Measure 5 times cut once.
Red = Perfectionist, loyal, team player

Today I don't feel very yellow.

Well as one "yellow" person to the other, sometimes i do noy know where God is. SO many times have I called out to Him in the past few yeras without what seemed to be a reply...I almost stopped praying.
The only way I can explain it to myself is..."if this id me with God on my side..what would I be without Him?" no great help I know but from the heart.

Sometimes,I think, we have the hardest time seeing our ownself for what we are because of the perspective we take. This can be bad and it can be good. You are a great person of many colors. With out the dark colors there would be no contrast. Chin up Dori.

BTW an interesting note I wrote a poem tribute to you earlier today BEFORE I read this.

Paul
