Standing Tall (The Martha Steward Poem)

Standing Tall
By: Jeff

Let me down easy

Break my fall

Give me a chance to leave

Standing tall

Donít break my spirit

Donít cause me pain

Donít play me like

A Championship game

Donít leave me thirsty

In the burning sand

Donít reach and then let go

Of my hand

Put aside

Your foolish pride

Free the demons

You like to hide

Escape the trap

That threatens to close

Around the deceit

Right under your nose

Itís a pity

When someone falls

And prevents others

And From standing tall

Martha Steward...It's amazing how the press loves to dog her.

Great expressions Jeff...we all want to stand tall, even after we have fallen and got back up again.

Fine work!
