Pull of the Moon
The woman, she stood there alone,
captivated by the gravitational pull,
awash in it's muted light.
Wondering what lay before;
a sigh for things past.
Remembering what they always told her...
"The moon is made of green cheese."
Closing her eyes,
a crescent moon smile across her face
and a wish in her heart.
A longing to howl;
and hear her voice echo.
A longing to run,
and return to the wildness
from which she once came.
Alone, and free,
to run in the
