The music is gone
I sit with this loneliness that has captured me..
I try but can't sing all the songs
that had always been so easy for me...
I feel this loneliness inside of me....
Why....Why, did he have to leave me?

The notes of once happy songs
are gone from this heart..
I can't play the keys...
I can't remember how..I try and try
to get these happy notes
flowing out again,
but no matter how hard I try
I just can't begin...
the notes seem lost somewhere
deep inside me...
I, hit my fingers on the keys the sound that
come out is filled with only misery..

My mind and soul filled with confusion
the man I loved just walked out of my life,
leaving me paralyzed from the notes
that my heart once played
and my soul once felt...
The music is gone from this
heart....soul...from me

Your picture is very, very well drawn- a picture of being without the source, but having to "go through the motions". Most excellent.

I agree very sad. It is all true and, yes, very beautifully written. I know what you mean too. After this sort of thing happens all the meanings and feelings you get from a great song seems gone. There seems like there's nothing in there anymore. Great write, like this one a lot.

This is sad, but beautifully written, Lubaina.
I wish you all the best.
