make a difference

Like a slave born into entrapment
What gave the silver life
As it swirled out of the bottle
Onto the blade of the knife

The hand that smashed the face
The sugar, dressed in lines
Stealing candy from a baby
Done up to the nines

Imagination and beyond
The shallow walls of grey
Letís hear a rousing cheer
Címon címon HEY!

Born into a silver spoon
Or born in to a ditch
To some life is so kind
To others itís a bitch

And still they cry and lie about
Heading the wrong way
Letís hear the rousing cheer again
Címon címon HEY

And the kids of today grow older
And innocence is lost
The world just keeps getting colder
But what will be the cost

I want to differ
I want to live
I want to be the one
That has something to give

I can cry the lonely tears
Or I can smile all the way
Does either make a difference,
Címon címon HEY

Feel the belonging
Of the needle to the vein
The habit hidden forever
The deep fear of the shame

The anecdote is nowhere
Nowhere to be found
Life is one wrong cycle
Slowly going around

Everything can kill you
Everything is bad
Thereís no happiness left
Only excuses to be sad

Listen to me and join in
Come and save the day
Weíre the generation to make a difference
Címon címon HEY
