Contemplation

I stand here and wonder as Listen to the thunder;

Looking at the echo of your face

How did I let it happen; Guess you caught me nappiní

I find another woman in my place

When did you leave me? How did you deceive me?

I didnít know enough to suspect

Happy with my life, content to be your wife

I was never guilty of neglect

You love another woman and I didnít see it coming

Safe in my own little sphere

My world began to sag as you packed up your bag

All alone you left me standing here

What will I do now? It just isnít right somehow

Isolated, choking on my fear

Itís going to mean my death. I can not get my breath

Watching your taillights disappear

Author's Notes:

I found out my husband was having an affair with my brother and they ran away together. They cleaned out my bank account, wrecked my car, took all of my good sheets, ttook my monogrammed towels, they took my†dog†and left dirty dishes in†the sink.

I really miss my dog.............

Great work Jude. Like Mary Lou, I like the rhyming scheme you used, and admire the way you achieved it. Of the high quality we have come to expect.

With the arrow of your love
I've been shafted
I've been flushed from the bathroom of your heart
I love it, and you, darlin'
I've been missin' you, darlin'
But, I'll take better aim.....Lariat len

Too much swiggin' back on ol' Jack.
Very funny as usual. Alison SW
