time of your life
“As a little girl I always thought that things would turn out right and I guess, although it wasn’t always apparent at a glance, or sometimes even at a look there was always a reason for every action, and although it hurts it is to be accepted that those reasons were for the best”Like a child smiles a wind blows
And as the sea swirls the adult knows
For everything moves and it will all change
We have many emotions and they all rangeLike the rain falls the tears drop
People use people as a life prop
To get them up for the next task
Conceal their feelings in a happy maskI wrote for you a story
I wrote for you a song
It was the never ending story
Where we all got alongBut I guess it wasn’t to happen
For reasons forever unknown
But lesson learned and subject changed
Forward to the future I’m goingDays became unlivable, nights a drunken blur
Pain was all around me, and in my heart a spur
That I carried round like a memory, of times in the past
Although the pain was there forever, and it would forever last To cry for an eternity, is a waste of given time
Same waste as if for eternity, all I did was whine
So I moved on and I healed, as much as I could
And I willed all the best for you, like I thought I shouldBut the earth it moves in circles, and life it does the same
Whether it be good or bad, to love or to hurt and maim
And I guess that I came back to you, and there my thoughts did rest
And remembered all the good times, and then all of the bestSo I guess I hope you made it, safely through it all
And I hope that through everything, you stood straight and tall
Cause without you I’d be nothing, lost in a mountain of strife
So in this moment of reflection…
I guess…
I hope you had the time of your life.
