Live On

Sleep, my little one.

Eternal slumber has just begun.

From your cries they have woken.

And their words of death were spoken.

Sweet child do not fear.

For you I will always be near,

To wipe away that tear.

And the truth will become clear.

I know you are angry.

I know you are hungry.

Revenge on your enemy.

Is all that you forsee.

But your enemy will live on.

From other weeds in a lawn.

The sword of hope was drawn.

We'll fight till the break of dawn.

Don't let those tears fall.

Anger through your veins will crawl.

Alter your blood when you recall.

And you become the beast at nightfall.

I know you are unhappy.

I know you are uneasy.

A brighter destiny,

Is what you want to see.

They can take away your freedom.

Poison your mind with venom.

But you chose to be a victim.

And let in the killer symptom.

If they bite deeper then a python.

Till all of your hope is gone.

And all your blood withdrawn.

In your heart let my words live on.

I know you are angry.

I know you are hungry.

Revenge on your enemy.

Is all that you forsee.

I know you are unhappy.

I know you are uneasy.

A brighter destiny,

Is what you want to see.

Author's Notes:

A song to a mothers son during the holocaust...

I didnt mean to offend anyone with this poem, that is not the point of me writing this. But I am tired of hearing and seeing little bits of the holocaust these days. It scares and angers me. I dont understand why people cant just love eachother...I once passed by someone and he called me a Jew, and I just kept walking. Yes I am Jewish, so??...Another time 3 little boys yelled " Ill kill all you jews" They were black, and so young. where would they learn to hate others from?.. if they hate racism why are they doing this to others for a dumb reason. i dont understand this stupid world and m tired of crying over this crap. why cant everyone just live together happily..again this isnt written to offend anyone.

Incredible hun, I really admire the strength of the holocaust survivors. For people to be put through that kind of torture and's a testament to man's courage and passion. This poem exemplifies their struggle. Well done sweety.
