Why do I write?

Why do I choose to write you say

Why do you do what you do  I say

I write because it feels good

Because to me writing is like food

Food for my brain and my soul

It makes me me feel whole

It helps me express myself

And even if my poems are never on somebody's bookself

I know I have just done something I love

And I've risen above

Above what you say

Above one of the many stereotypes in this world today

You see I am disabled

For years my handwriting has left people puzzled

It' so sloppy because my muscle taken a hit

And because some people are ignorant

And don't try to learn

That I'm stubborn

But most of all I'm not dumb

I can read, write, and even twiddle my thumb

By writing I have shown that I'm physically disbaled not mentally

I'm not trying to be snotty

But it stinks

If people would just think

So that is why I write

To help people know

And to help people grow

But mostly because it makes me feel good

And that is all that matters

Author's Notes:
I don't where this came from or if I even really like it but yeah here ya go. I needed to write cause I hadn't in a while.

I have to add myself to the group for these same reasons I write, but I will not only give you kudos for a nicely written poem, but also for your will's nice to know that you are doing something you love, no matter the circumstances..

This describes why I write almost to a T. Thanks for posting it for us all to read and comment on.
