Broken *Co-Written*

My hearts been broken deep inside,

Down where loneliness does reside,

When there comes a time of pain and fear,

That's when my broken heart will re-appear,

The bleeding seems to never end

Stitched up hearts a current trend

A reminder everywhere you go

Of that killer heart bound blow

I fear that I can no longer draw the line,

Or remember when my heart really felt fine,

But no longer will I gasp for air,

On the day my broken heart feels fair,

Time heals what reason cannot

Sometimes that can be a lot

Though the light at the end seems far

Never forget about who you are

I reach for help but no one's there,

To give my heart and soul what it needs,

Silent prayers and silent pleads,

That one day my broken heart may heal,

And once again it will feel real,

Author's Notes:
This is part of my ongoing series of poems written with my friends, this one is special as it marks the return of my good friend Heidi who has been on a long journey and has finally returned home to cp and whats one of the first things she did? Gave me a poem to write on, so I would think to welcome her back :-)

Great work to you both, heartbreaking and hopeful at once.
