The Flower Revived

It remained there with the roots dormant

Until one fortunate day it was spotted

The now withered flower

Slowly, slowly started to grow leaves

Then came few petals

It was not an easy task

but the new owner kept on trying

until the flower was back to life.

What a beautiful flower

Daily whispers

Tender care and

the right amount of everything

The flower blossomed.

New branches grew

New petals bloomed.

My owner

I thank you for reviving me

So much I have been through

So little I could do to save myself

I have been stubborn, much stubborn

You had hope with me

although many times you have wanted to give up.

Through storms you have sheltered me

Through droughts you have watered me

Through extreme sunshine you have shaded me

Today I stand

Getting older, becoming more fragile

You still stand by me

And I will always remain your favourite flower.

This is an awesome poem! I had a rose that whithered, it was in a vase and I kept forgetting to throw it away. One day I saw it had new leaves. I still have it. The flower itself is whithered but it has lots of green leaves. It's a miracle enough for me! I'm waiting to see what else will happen. Maybe it will somehow produce new flowers...
