Hidden Creek

As I sit and watch the creek just flow
The tadpoles swimming with the turtles so slow
I feel a breeze brush across my face
I look around at this beautiful place

Sun shining down giving warmth while you wade
Trees all around to provide some shade
Two small waterfalls continue to replenish
The water in the creek when it starts to diminish

I go to the big rock that sits in the creek
I watch the deer, beautiful and meek
As I look to see across the water
I enjoy the site of the beautiful otter

The wind is blowing the trees do sway
The sun still sunning on a beautiful day
Tensions gone, my heart did release
I cannot move for my bodyís at peace

I finally get up and go for a hike
Walking along I see some pike
I walk through the creek and back on land
Keep walking along enjoying nature so grand

Time has passed and night is here
Back to the rock that is so near
The site at night so beautiful to see
The sounds even better, it serenity

I lay on the rock and count the stars
Suddenly I see one it looks like Mars
The lightning bugs amazing to see
Twinkling like the stars with such beauty

But now its time to leave this place
My heart does pound it starts to race
Home to bed to dream of tomorrow
Back to a place thatís filled with sorrow

Until the next day does arrive
My hidden creek it will survive
I close my eyes and start to dream
Of my hidden creek that's so serene

Beautiful write, Cathy...I love it, too! I live on a creek bank where I can sit on the porch in the evenings and listen to the creek bubble and gurgle along...the frogs make quite a serenade on the banks...It's also a wonderful place for the kids to play :)
(and mama too!)
Peaceful write, here!

If we all could just go to our hidden creek when turmoil arrives~ You have given us a beautiful picture of where your Soul feels serenity and we are the ones that are gifted~ Beautiful, and full of Nature~

Cathy, this is what I call serenity. How did you get the pic in here and where did you get it from? It's beautiful. :o) *S* Wind Whisperer
