~Life Will Be Rough~

This summer vacation,
seems to be lasting way to long.
It's time to send the children,
back to school where they belong.

I don't know about you,
but my son is driving me insane.
There is never anything to do,
I'm so tired of hearing him complain.

He was dressed all in black,
just the other day.
Without cutting any slack,
I asked why he was dressed that way.

Where was he going,
when would he be back?
I guess that he was hoping,
I wouldn't give him any flack.

He had the nerve to tell me,
he'd know when he got there.
I informed him rather quickly,
to go sit in the chair.

He wasn't leaving the room,
if he couldn't tell me where.
He sat looking of gloom and doom,
but I didn't shed a tear.

I'm such a mean old Mom,
because I show I care.
His friends could set off a bomb,
I treat him so unfair.

He's only 14 years old,
and he thinks he is so tough.
As long as he lives in my household,
things are gonna be rough.

Author's Notes:

Tyler I only treat you the way I do,
because I love you so much.
Some day you will realize this.

I'm about your son's age, and just to let you know, things always get better. He won't always be like this. I was like him before, and trust me, just keep showing him that you're only doing it because you care and sooner or later, he'll come around. You're not a bad mother, you're like all the others, just looking out for their kid.

Kids~!
We love 'em but they can be a real pain~! And, then Summer they could be doin' the windows, the lawn and half the housework....I am sure that your son will know that you are doing it all in love...

Stand your ground! You're on the right track even if he's trying to derail you! I've got a 15 year old...complained about nothing to do, so i got a work permit and put him to work! Now he's begging to be able to stay home LOL!
This is soOOOO familiar!
Love you! and I hear you loud and clear...you have my support AND sympathy!
Your sis...
