~Calla Lilies Overflowing At The Brim~

The Calla Lily is my,
all time favorite flower.
It blooms in warmer climates,
which just adds to their glamour.

The first time that I saw one,
was when Fletch took me to his home town.
He treated me like royality,
I should've been wearing a crown.

He took me to the ocean,
that's where he got me hooked.
He could tell that I loved the place,
just by the way I looked.

I want to move to California,
that is where Fletch was born.
He misses it so much,
at times I see him mourn.

I told him I would move,
anywhere to be with him.
He promised me fields of Calla lilies,
overflowing at the brim.

Author's Notes:

The flowers pictured are Calla Lilies,
growing wild in

I love calla lilies, as well, Tracy~ You have done them proud with your write about them, and should you have a chance then California will be your new flower bed....

Beautiful poem Tracy. I have cala lilies in
my garden but they must be a different variety
than the ones in the picture. I love them too.
Very nicely penned. Linda
