~To The Night It Says Adieu~Co -Write With Eddy Kent

Calla Lily

Calla lilies they are so beautiful

My favourite colour is the pink

They catch the dewdrops in the morning

So that the butterflies can drink

The turtle watches them flutter by
then sighs and begins to dream
Of beautiful coloured Calla Lilies
Growing wild down by his stream

Reds and yellows violets and blues

A rainbow of colours to see

The calla lily and the butterfly

A collage of potpourri

He dreams of magnificent flowers
swaying gently in the breeze
and he pictures the glamorous colours
there's none more beautiful then these

Above his head a butterfly hovers

Looking down at the turtle asleep

Sweet dreams my friend it whispers

Let the lord thy soul to keep

Then off to find the Calla Lilies

To drink from the morning dew

As mother nature begins to wake

As to the night it says adieu

I also love callas...although traditionally, they are known as a funeral flower, they hold great beauty and are prized. I have several of their cousins, the peace lilly, and they are wonderful also. Fantastic write you two, an A1 rate job here...Barbie
