I feel loneliness

Engulfing me,

Like the blackest part

Of the ocean.

I am not a fish

Belonging there

So I swim

To the surface,

To the light

Of friendships.

Author's Notes:

….how thankful we can be for friendships….they are a great boost to our lives and emotional well being….
