~Back To School~(WB#4 Paul)

Summer
vacation is over,
time for the kids to go back to school.
The parents will be partying,
they think we are so cruel.

It's time to crack the books,
and study real hard.
No more staying up all night,
or flirting with the lifeguard.

No more riding their bike,
around the neighborhood all day.
Peace and quiet in the house,
let me hear the parents shout horray.

Brothers and sisters,
girlfriends and boyfriends too.
Laughing and giggling in the hall,
catching up with old friends and making some new.

The teacher sitting at her desk,
as they walk into the classroom.
Praying she doesn't give lots of homework,
cause that would be their doom.

Asking to go to see the nurse,
when they are feeling ill.
Or when they have to take a test,
and haven't studied for it still.

I remember doing all these things,
when I was just a kid.
My parents always threw a party,
the first day of school, they really did.
