~Chantilly Lace~(WB#5TheBagLady)

Sitting outside in Chantilly, France
at a sidewalk cafe.
Listening to the mellow sounds of,
the jazz musician as he play.

The sweet smell of gardenia,
slowly drifts by.
The memories of everlasting love,
causes me to cry.

The love of my life has died,
it was murder they say.
A chandelier was dropped on his head,
while I was away.

I was floating down the bayou,
watching the sunrise.
I thought my alibi was good,
but they saw right through my lies.

Now it's up the river,
to the big house for me.
All I really wanted,
was to be set free.
