Get on with your life

One day soon I pray you meet Mr Right

A guy you can turn to instead of just fight

The kind of person you know will be there

Unlike me, your patience I know I wear

I just want you to know I will always have time

You know you can never take enough of mine

Nothingís to small thereís no reason to please

Call on me anytime thereís something you need

Donít shut me out because I had to let you go

If we truly had something special I had to know

Sometimes the rewards means taken a chance

Told you Iím grateful you gave me that dance

I hope you know that I would travel every mile

On hands and knees to just once see you smile

Know that I am so very sad every single night

But I have to know whatever I choose is right

Sometimes I feel Iím drowning I canít see land

Given up waiting to feel that warm tender hand

Iím wishing I could stop feeling all of this pain

Please donít let this blood spilt all be in vain

Even though once you could have been my wife

Please for me and you babyÖ.

Get on with you life

Author's Notes:

Sometimes you just don't know what to do for the best, you feel trapped in a corner afraid of being hurt and afraid of being let down so you close your heart and mind to people. Thats where the Soldier part of my title comes in trooping on alone foolishly thinking I can win a war that is too big for me, maybe one day I can look back and think I made a difference but I pray not many people get hurt between now and then.

I think you can sometimes care for a person too much, there's one girl I'd die to see her happy and yet I feel like I can't make her happy no matter what I do. I caused fights and sometimes made her lose her smile and the ironic thing is I wanted to really hurt people that did that to her so I guess I have to hurt myself.

Its never easy to make the right choice when you don't know what the right choice is, I hope one day she forgives me. I hope its made easier by her having a happy ending, until then I can only hope I guess.
