~Ballroom Dancing~(WB#8 DavidWood)

As I listen to the band play,
to the music I softly sway.
Our eyes meet from across the ballroom,
my smile grows as if in bloom.

We start walking towards each other,
we know in our hearts there is no love truer.
As our footsteps quicken to a more rapid pace,
anticipating the meeting face to face.

Your hand ever so tenderly touched mine,
sending shivers up and down my spine.
While admiring the sparkle in your eyes,
I pray this night to never end, I hate goodbyes.

The band starts to play a slow song,
you take me in your arms right where I belong.
While dancing you begin to sing softly in my ear,
your voice is mesmerizing and your love is so sincere.
