~Our Big Move~

Trying to clean the house,
to keep my mind off of missing you.
Everything I look at brings back a,
fond memory and I start feeling blue.

I can't wait til you come home,
cause I miss you oh so much.
I miss having you near me,
and I miss your gentle touch.

My heart will go on,
for I know you'll be home soon.
You'll take me in your arms,
and fly me to the moon.

Getting things ready to pack,
to prepare for our big move.
Moving to California with the man I love,
I must say I approve.

This is something  we've wanted,
to do for along time now.
I know it will be hard at first,
but we will make it through somehow.

We have been together for 16 years,
our lives have taken a lot of turns.
We always manage to work things out,
and follow where our heart yearns.

Our love is stronger than it's ever been,
together we can do this.
As long as we're together,
our life will be bliss.

Author's Notes:

I can't wait til you get home,
so we can really start to pack for our big move.

I hope you like your new home in California. Carolyn and I have moved a few times in our 35 years together, but neither of us likes it. Somehow we always make it through. I enjoyed your write--one good thing about the www is you can still post in Calif. the same as ILLinois, so in that way you will still have the same neighbors/poet family.
