~Another Soldier~

Trained with a gun and knife

This was the key to his new life,

He was a soldier ripped from his home

And sent to a darkened territory unknown,

He thought ‘why did he have to fight’

And does he have no right,

The boats began to cross the sea,

Dropping of soldiers, people like you and me

A plane crossed the breach,

Dropping a shell on the beach,

This soldier was caught in the blast,

He fell to the floor and his eyes begun to overcast,

He began to lose sight,

And the day light crept to night,

The soldier’s life was taken away,

And that was his fatal day,

Another soldier had died today.
