~Thanks I Guess~

No smile upon my face

Just a frown with a tear coming down

A male isnít meant to cry

They tell me

I embarrass my father with my feelings

And I annoy my mum with my problems of teenager anxiety

They wonít listen anymore

And Iím always wrong and they are always right

Maybe I should give up my life?

No I wont I promised I wouldnít and Iím not depressed

Just angry and mad

My father didnít joke when he said I should go into care

I didnít say anything to him I just turned a blind eye

Then he cursed and told everyone I always lie

What a father he can be to me sometimes

My mother I swear she is scared

Always take his side and blames me for my little brothers tears

Well I would like to say, Thank you, you too for making my day

Ah...parents and their wonderful contributions to our stressful days of adolescence! I am fortunate to have a patient, open and understanding mother, but my stepfather might as well be a glaring, judgemental brick wall. I really like this because I think most teens can relate to it on one day or another. Thanks for sharing.
