Essence of India ~ co-written with Michael A. Meddings

Unaware, you entered my world, filling me with your dark essence
From that moment, you held me enchanted, never seeing what consequence
Perceiving only a vast beauty that dark sky could hold, scattered with every star of India
Awakening and stirring every passion within me, leaving your eternal royal imprint
Upon my lonely heart, fitting me with a slipper of affection, my radiant prince
Arresting, disrupting my reasoned mind, unveiling a brilliant gem, your mystery

And in my dreams I rest in your cradled arms, safe in the havened mystery
Enthusing with vibrant needs, your wish to fulfill me with your secret essence
Taking your gentle touch, you become my joy; my love; my world; my prince
Helping you to me on the wings of the night, careless now of consequence
And allowing you to take me willingly, I welcome your ecstatic imprint
Lifting me, transporting me to ecstasy, to the essential dream of India

My spirit soars as I look into your liquid eyes, colored with all the ink of India
Your subtle arousal, slow, unfaltering, weaves a deliberate dance of mystery
Tracing line of mouth and lips, kissed, impressed deeper by delicious, devoted imprint
And sweet nectar of bliss engulfs us, embracing a magnificent amalgam of essence
The world can never comprehend the faulty end of evanscent consequence
Where your amrit words pour passion from jeweled lips, gentle eastern prince

But then what is this fate Mi Corazon? You are gone yet remain my prince
Whilst your spirit soars above me, takes my soul to your palace in India
Where in dreams I become your bride, stand with you, declare our love sin consequence
Then I await your command to the jeweled finery of our unity, safe in loves soft mystery
As hand maidens bathe me, dress me in silk, then shower me with Asian essence
The silken saris touch my skin and I tremble; I yearn for a need of your imprint

Destiny per chance brought us together, our mated souls marked by eternity's imprint
Devotion so rapturous, unremitting, an all abiding love for my lion prince
Thus for a moment my heart knew paradise, forever filled with your lingering essence
I dream of what might have been and muse an exotic world of you and I joined in India
What visions encase my soul, sick with loss, I ponder your resplendent mystery
We mark time in waiting, where boundaries do not exist for fragile unfettered consequence

Meir bial, my heart bequeath I thee, despite impending consequence
Mer piar, is the love we shared upon this life imprint
Mer bhajti, my devotion within your raptured mystery
You become my concupiscent; my beloved; my world; my prince
And you take me now my jewel; my love, to India
I am your willing prisoner, your love; your queen; your essence

Now changeless heartbeats still all consequence, and I hold fast to the honor of my prince
His gentle soul mine own imprint and he will cherish me within his realm of India
And ever gaze into my sapphire eyes of mystery and sip sweet desire's essence

OMG my hats off to you both for this pefectly formed Sestina. This piece is tremendous in its word choice and presentation, and to master such a difficult form so smoothly, I bow to your efforts and diligent labor of love.
Most Exquisite you two.

You two have done an exceptional job. I imagine this was pure joy to work together on. It's not just the verse but how you went that extra 500 miles and incorporated the Indian verbiage. This whole write is over the top!
