Can we ever be Together?

“Love is when you care about someone else’s happiness, always and forever, whether or not you are destined to be together.” Love is truly such a profound and strong feeling. No other emotion that mankind feels that is as powerful and as fabulously great as love.

Love breaks the chain of sadness; it tends to polish what is supposed to be a flaw; it tends to right what is supposed to be a misstep; it simply does miracles in everything. But really, how well do we know love?

Is it just enough to say those three "magic words" to someone? How do we gauge our so-called care and compassion to others?

Can we really define LOVE?

I happen to be in love now a days. Although we have a lot of differences , still there wasn’t a time that we misunderstood each other’s dissimilarities.I was  really  so astonished when I found out that I was in such  a relationship.

I am without a doubt the most UNROMANTIC girl in this world and believe it or not, I used to believe that love at first sight is a downright lunacy;  and that never would I fall in love to someone who is so opposite me.

I was indeed so judgmental and prejudistic that I just can’t seem to find a liking for the opposite sex. Anyone who knows me would probably think my “falling in love” is nothing but a mere joke. They see me as a reserved person, someone who is least bothered about others, someone who keeps quiet most of the time, someone who is rude and adamant .

But honestly, when he came into my life a lot changed in me - even my perspectives. I used to laugh at people getting rather mushy when they fall in love. I mean, isn’t it so “oh-come-on-give-me-a-break-this-can’t- be-true” when lovers say sweet nothings? Every now and then I hear on the radio people requesting for songs and dedicating it to someone which I find truly for “sentimental fools”.

But then later on, I was starting to fall in love foolishly. Foolish because it so unlikely of me to cry over a guy{I still can't beleive I can cry for anybody like this in the world..Give me a break.....}, write poems for him, "go weak in the knees” and “butterflies invade my stomach” kind of feeling. I was hoping that ..... like some of the poems I write we will have our happy-ending too ......but never have I realized that fate is much more powerful than my desire to be with him for the rest of my life- My fate went wrong along the way. I know ..we can never be together...so why do I cry?? he is still so dear to me.

He promises me that we will be together in our old age...Its like, giving condolence to a child who is badly crying for his favourite toy.He knows the facts ,the reality, the bitter hard truth ....so do I......

I never regret anything that happened. He is the only person who let me feel the most real feeling in this world. With him, I don't have to be someone else; there's no need for me to hide in a cloak of pretensions just so that I will appear rather fit for him. Even if I don't approve to some of his qualities, still I learned to accept the person that he is- a thing which is somewhat hard for me to do because I am quite a perfectionist. I never had this kind of feeling before and I am so thankful to him for everything he has done.

I found love in him and that is probably the greatest accomplishment I have....

Koi shakk...!

Oh Lubs! this is going into my favs. it is a n honest heartfelt declaration of true love.
it makes me very sad to think of two people who due to circumstances have decided to live their lives just knowing that they were meant to be together but loving enough to know when it cannot be.
This resonates in a major way with me.
I too have had to acknowlege that the man I love may now live out his life and we may never see one another again. Nobody can take away what is in our hearts though.
