Missing Your Admiration

Everything shines, just a bit,

When you look at it. There is

a sort of light it emits.

The world stops for a second,

Everything beckons. There is

a sort of meaning, reckoned.

Suddenly, you come to face
nothing, save blank space. There is

a sort of comfort. EFFACED!

Replaced with an elation,

Offered temptation: there is

a quiet desperation…

…missing your admiration…

Nice work Meg. I like the verse form, and you make the most of it. Well done.

You don't have to worry about missing my admiration although it is from afar.  I love your writings my friend.  I need to make a copy of this to refer back to at times.

Hello, Meg, and welcome to CP. Damon is certainly an admirer of yours and a friend of mine, for he sent me here to meet you. I'm so glad he did. You do fine work. This is very nice. Things do take on a certain aura that was not there before when sincerely admired. Very good poem. Well done. ML

Hi Meg, I am so glad to see that you are here. I see that you haven't lost your touch for fantastic writing. I knew, though, that you wouldn't. You are a wonderful writer. I was afraid that the site wouldn't let you join. When I try to get on at my son's house his computer always crashes too, but I don't have the slightest as to why. Welcome to the site! I hope that I am the first to welcome you, but I am sure that I won't be the last. I hope that you like this site as much as I do.
