Welcome to the world of sound! Good lyrics, poverty is the real enemy in this world and you have to start fighting it somewhere, so why not where you live... Good song!

I used to be one of those homeless drunks, buddy..Nothing but illness such as addiction seperates the homeless from the mainstream..Now that this site has audio, I'd like to hear this one,,,len

Joe, you've touched a place in my heart with this write, and I, too have to say thanks! So much is given away to other countries who, yes, need it, but we have forgotten that just a few steps away are streets teeming with people that need the help that is being sent off to others.
Hugs to you, Joe, and again...wow!

We certainly do have our fair share of problems to take care of. I'm sure these lyrics have been sung in the minds of many who didn't feel comfortable enough to put them in print.

Good lyrics Joe. We need to do a better job of taking care of our own while at the sametime being charitable to the rest of the world.

These lyrics are wonderful and I agree with Henry I would love to hear them put to music. It is so true we open our dorors to everyone when they are in need and they slam their doors on us.
