Only in Love

Could soft tears so shatter worlds apart,
Whilst sit in triumph lonely hearts?
Could smiles shine like losing sun,
Whilst fire's flame's so quickly done?

Could night swift cover the blinking star,
Whilst hopeful dreams drift afar?
Could sweetly last a moonlight kiss,
Whilst death doth bask in all of this?

Could hearts fast break in freezing cold,
Whilst lies of dreams slowly unfold?
Could lovers laugh in lasting bliss,
Whilst children cry in reminisce?

Could we create fake world above?
...Only in Love...

What I gleaned from the work, was that the Universe can become just about anything when the hearts of lovers are together~ Not that there is a doubt of a higher being, but that in 'their' world, the lovers' world, anything is possible~

This is an excellent write Meg; I too believe in God. I find it hard to believe that anyone couldn't, but I know that some people don't, but I didn't get the impression that you don't believe him from reading this one. Great work!

Some of your poetry reminds me of the golden days of old English, with the scheme and the flow. Terrific write Meg, Joe
