~Stupid Dog~

It's 4 o'clock in the morning
What am I doing out of bed
Some insane thoughts
are going through my head

The stupid dog is barking
at God only knows
He has been known to
bark at his own shadows

I just want to go
back to my warm bed
Now the stupid dog
thinks he needs to be fed

I want to go
back to bed I cried
But NO now he
wants to go outside

Opening the door
to let him out
Although the whole time
I continue to pout

Please just let me
go back to bed
Before I put you
out in the shed

Fletch I swear
didn't hear a peep
As through the night
he continued to sleep

Author's Notes:

I could've killed the stupid dog,
but I love him too much.

that's the price we pay as dog lovers, isn't it - mine is dumb as a bag of hammers and goes into tremors of fear when an overcooked hamburger sets off the smoke alarm, but i couldn't do without her.

oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY - had it not been for seeing today's that day to celebrate (or ignore), i might never have seen this delightful piece.  hope  you have a great day

But you just have to love them..

I have several dogs too so I know the feeling well of having sleep interrupted...

This one made me smile..

Are you sure Fletch was really asleep and not just faking it so you would take care of the dog? This was fun Thanks for sharing

I know exactly how you feel sis. Dogs are sometimes worse than small children, and you can't kill them either. Great write on this one....Love ya,....Karen

Tracy: WOW!! can I relate to this write. Very cute and yes so are the dogs; but, they can be annoying when we want to be asleep!!!

I think most dog owners can appreciate this one, hilarious at times, in the middle of the night a pain in the backside, but we love them like children all the same :-))

This is very funny! I'm the one who pretends to sleep through it at our house. This was great.....and lovely graphics! Sincerely, Mary
