Game of Life
Don't ask me if I shall return My childish home is no longer mine. Where I did grow and know a lot of friends. Today I get up, I realize that I'm all alone. We thought that the best times do remain, and that all the bad things shall pass away. Our childhood was but a legend. Now, we do realize cruelty of life. We were boys, and we were girls We did play with dolls and toys. We thought that life is only a game. We were so innocent, that we did ignore the mess outside. We thought that we shall dwell in paradise Angels shall hold our arms. We did trust every word people uttered. We thought that sadness is but few tears welling up on our eyes and that happiness is that smile we make when we move our lips. Children we were but deep inside women and men. Though silly, we have had a certain vision of this universe. Step by step we began to learn, life is full of traps people are but wolves. Today life is no longer a game, but blobs of memories and mysteries still hidden. Though we grew, we shall remain children for the lifetime.
Author's Notes:
I do want you, you all, the new poets to feel these brief lines. You are the only ones who may breathe the meaning. My childhood maybe yours too. So try to paint the picture with that childish memory. Cheers Chilhood. For you and me.
