The silence

Something is not right
The silence is deafening
It's much too quiet at night
Marital skies look threatening

There is no conversation
Not even how was your day
A cause for consternation
Love has gone away

Words are left dangling
So much tension in the air
No more bedroom wrangling
There's no one left to care

Love is but a faded shadow
Barely cast upon the floor
A heart with little blood flow
Is seen headed for the door

It is a befuddling thing to watch something highly successful fall to the claws of apathy, then die. does happen...there are usually too many reasons to begin citing them.
Alas~ life it is.

Very poignant poem, pulls at the heartstrings.

Best wishes,

Some people just do not realize how great they have it. I've seen this happen...and know what kind of pain that simple emptiness causes. *hugs* Very well written, emotional piece...

Dear Lord, Henry...sounds like she needs to wake up and smell the coffee before the pot boils dry! I know this must be the most painful of experiences as I've been there myself...Just hang in there and know that there are always ears here to listen and a shoulder that is very well padded for you to cry on...All you can do is try and get her attention by talking to her...Try telling her what's going on inside you and see if she'll heed it. Honey, you know what we've told just always remember it still stands............Hugs and tears for your pain.......Glata
