RABBITS DAY OUT.

From out of his hole popped a rabbit with glee
What a wonderful day, and its good to be free
So off he did go, and crawled under a hedge
His nose twitching fast as he searched for some veg.

When out of the woods came a wily old fox
And the white on his paws, looked like little white socks
You're a long way from home to the rabbit said he
If you fancy a bite why not come home with me

I'd be glad to said rabbit, that sounds very nice
And the fox winked politely, with his eyes cold as ice
We'll cut through the woods its quicker that way
And rabbit thought hard, what would mum and dad say?

Don't go off with strangers, and you'll come to no harm
Stay clear of the woods, keep close to the farm
A narrow escape for the rabbit that day
So tell mum and dad if you're playing away
And don't talk to strangers who offer a sweet
It might just be you that they want to eat.

Excellent! A wonderful message amidst a fun poem. Children everywhere will love it. Too bad the message has to be in there, but it's a strange world. jp
