The Hermit
Journing through the mists of time
An old man carries a lantern
Searching for the answer to the question he seeks
He wanders to nowhere in mind

Bound within the twilight's eve
His tiny lantern burns bright
Climbing upwards a mountain of knowledge
To learn the things of light

Chains of night binds his way
Trying to stop his quest
His lantern flares in sudden challenge
For in darkness the light shines best

The old man smiles his eyes shining
As he lets his lantern fall
For now he knows to find his answer
He must heed the darkened call

Wading through an ocean of night
The old man quakes in  fear
Darkness latches onto his soul
Straining to take all he holds dear

Blinded by the twilight shadows
Doubts begin to surge
The old man holds onto his faith
His answer beings to emerge

Darkness quails, shrieking aloud
As the old man begins to shine
He straightens up smiling brightly
He found the answer in time

~

What was the answer he had found
For all you curious to want to know
Ill tell you the answers if you wish
To vanquish the darkened foe

Within yourselves, a light shines bright
Brighter then the brightest flame
And if you dare to travel in darkness
Its brightness you will have tamed

A wary cuation to this answer
Ill give to you all
Many have tried to tame this brightness
But have been lost to the darkened call
Author's Notes:

In the tarot deck, the Hermit is an old man who searches for knowledge. He carries a lantern in the darkness, guiding others through the darken depths. As he gains knowledge he will cast the lantern aside and journey alone through the darkness, he will use his own light within himself to light his path through darkness.

WE can all learn form the hermit, when we understand to never fear knowledge, to never fear the unknown, to never fear the darkness, we will find the light within ourselves to to anything we wish. we will learn to be... unafraid

Basically a very good poem, good storyline, but the flow is slightly marred by gramatical errors, otherwise it is excellent.
