Did you know?

Can you hear the wind as it calls you?
And the rain as it slaps at your back
Can you feel the rest of a past gone
And the silent sound of a soul at rest

Will you know when its time
Find a place for yourself
When everything finishes
Was it neat?
Did you know when you sat down
That you’d never get up?

Do you see us?
I wonder what your up too
My first dance…
My graduation…
I got told you would be proud

Until we meet again
Go well
My reading buddy

Author's Notes:

My Grandad and i used to curl up in the corner of the lounge for hours and read, my family named us reading buddies.

My grandad died of a stroke in 1997. I still love him and miss him dearly
