~His Own Drum~

I awoke this morning
after a peaceful night
Hair all over the place
causing me quite a fright

It was not there when
I went to bed
It all came from
my sons head

He couldn't sleep
and he was bored
It was too late
to go ride his skateboard

So he decided to
shave himself bald
When I seen him
I about bawled

I never said it
he didn't have a clue
That it was something
I'd been wanting him to do

It was quite a shock
to see what he had done
All I can say is
he is definitely Fletch's son

Author's Notes:

I have heard it said that some people
march to the beat of a different drummer
My son marches to the beat
of his own drum.

Dear Tracy-
Being an old school dog nobody gets to come near my head with shears!-LOL-
But the shaved head seem to be the new in thing-
When my son was about 7, he wanted to shave WWF on the back of his head-
Fortunately he was still at that age back then that I had control of hair style then-LOL-
Hope all is well for You and Fletch-
Best Wishes to You and Yours~
Peace~

James

LOL Glad to know that you can still smile through the shock, lol! At least it's not something you hated (grin) and like Len said, never let him know you like it, lol, and maybe he'll keep it that way...Kids are funny creations...Your son and mine would get along just like brothers!
Hugs and love ya, sis!

Never let him know you like it..He'll stay up nights, growing it back..I like George Carlin's line about hair. "Hair is hair-it's here, it's there-It's just a beard, so don't be skeered."...:O)...len

I would say your son is fortunate to have such a wise and understanding mom. They say if you get lemons make lemonade. You make nice poems, Michael
