Homeless.

I'm glad that I'm not homeless
Or a traveller of the road
No sense of future only past
And classed No fixed abode

To wander places here and there
And known by many names
Classed as lifeless by the mass
And subject to their games

By their fellow man rejected
Whereby others a source of fun
But they did'nt start their life like this
When all is said and done

Some are content with living rough
To walk this netherworld
Yet innocents among them
Seek empathy, in ragged bundles curled

We may think they have their freedom
From constraints and all the stress
But most are there and not by choice
Who can say for them whats best

We can turn a blind eye to their problems
Never see the tears that fall
Most are there because of circumstance
It could be you, you never know.

Author's Notes:
Today I saw teanagers baiting a homeless person, and he did'nt even respond to them, even when I intervened, it was like he thought he did'nt exist, and I thought it was very sad that someone should regard themselves that way, but for the grace of God go I.

Absolutely a topic that touches the deepest part of my heart, Graham...I worry so much about what is and is not being done to help lessen the sufferings of those without a place to call "home." Sad thing is...more and more of us will be in this same situation if the government keeps shipping our jobs out of the country...By no fault of their own, the homeless often become that way due to company downsizing or closings. Others are due to medical conditions and the likes...but all of them are still HUMAN, and deserve the same things that every other human on this earth deserves.
I certainly agree with you..."There, but for the grace of God, go I."
Awesome write...sad but so very true...
Hugs!
Glata

How sad that any of them have to live this way. Some not down to themselves. Many have breakdowns, abuse, loss of hope and a will to survive. Bloody tough life like a jungle and yes who knows? Good for you to have said something to the brats. We are all equal no one is better than any one else in this life we all breathe the same air.

Excellent

Love Angelxx
