IGNORED

Some Roads are very rarely Paths

and certain piece of lands does have

Got more fortune then them

As people choose them shortcuts

So thus they merit gain.

I am a stone of such one Road

This seldom now is used

Until the rainy season when

The mud won’t spare the shoes.

Am I a stone? But really am

A very precious jewel

No man has thought or sought of me

As in this mud I dwell.

It comes one day. A rainy day.

When I can feel some sound

There come at last my deliverer

My days of hell thus end.

Those steps forwards more near to me

My heart is pounding hard

But what I see thus, make me cry

It is some beastly herd.

The beasts don’t care while walking past

Nor do I catch their eye

And kicking me they march ahead

Myself ploughed little high.

This is what? But an irony

That God let me stay here

And out back there in crazy lands

Man fight for me as bear.

Some days more pass in growing grass

My hope turns to despair

But as I was a little high

My vision was now fair.

Alas! The day of fortune come

My eyes have got this sight

I see this man come near to me

His eyes reflected bright.

He walked on me, and very hard

He boot me on my head

This blow I felt and shocked was thus

Which cause me lie their dead.

It was no fuss for beast that kicked

Me on before that road

But ‘MAN’ did me this fatal harm

And put my being in vain.

I broke myself in tiny trash

And got mixed up in mud

I was ‘IGNORED’ that made me die

In no man’s land I stood.

I say to you thus, O my friend

Not something more you spend

Just give a happy welcome look

And merry make all hence.

Author's Notes:

This is a story which was told to me on various occassions by my Father in faith, in reference; not to let any one downtrodden, or give a unheeded look to someone, as everyone on this earth feels and think. I have just penned it down in a poetic style, the credit of it all goes to him.
