Sitting on a comfortable sofa never seemed that uncomfortable for him before, on every instance he moved, and crossed and uncrossed his legs in haste he blushed.
To be watched over keenly upon was never been easy to his faculty, rather for a person who operates from remote, working as a software programmer, neither talking was a much ado. Whereupon waiting now was lethargic and causing his belly troubles, yet he sat and sat as the party moved to its end. But the thing still continues that was making him upset, it was a girl who sat at the corner of the sofa, the same one which he sat, like a wad of clothes to be laundered.
Now as the music faded and lights smoldered, he aspired to hop up the sofa and get going, the parties have never been his place to be, even at weekends, instead he preferred to lie dead on sofa reading.
Blushing smiles can put you in whimsical positions, it has been almost an hour and half since she was staring him like an eagle perched upon a rock top, eyeing some mouse, but here with hazy eyes of bewilderment.
And, the moment he tossed his eyed in search of his host. She plunge up the corner of the sofa and toppled herself near to him, almost choking him of breath.
‘Looking for someone?’ she asked.
Words seemed to have fallen in his stomach; he gulped some air to float them up his mouth and answered,
‘Actually… Do I know you?’
‘But off course not, how can you or anyone else, I just arrived to the town, and this is my first party ever.’ She softly answered.
‘Me too, I mean mine too, I want to say that this is my first party also, never have been to parties ever, but a friend of mine just dragged me in, and now get himself lost, don’t know where? But why am I telling this to you?’
He could feel as if something was coming to him, being an expatriate, he was very reserved in his movements, it was his third year in this country while he was called upon to work onsite from India.
‘Am I that absurd to talk with, mister?’ she asked in a firm pitch.
‘Actually… I did not take heed upon. It was just exasperation of sitting over here like an alien, and now a lost host also.’ He answered in elucidating voice.
‘I am Fairy, just arrived in here to complete my thesis, and a native of Pakistan.’
‘And... What were you doing here sitting aloof?’ He carried on...
‘Now, we rented this house today, and the one who occupied it since today, was ardent to give upon a party to his friends for the last time here. Making us bearing it’ she put these words in accent of a story.
‘Us?’ he gushed.
But here, she was called upon by someone, who he was standing with a back on, she excused and leaved.
