I Suffer in Silence.
A vow of life once more...
I watch the rain
and hold the pain
but i suffer in silence again.

So may i break a vow?
And not tomorrow, now.
For sickness has been one too many times,
just as swift as a shadow
and as short as dream.
I suffer in silence
and that's not how it's supposed to be.

So welcome wanderer
can you save me?
But gentle friend,
for love and courtesy
teach me about human modesty,
and i'll begin my life
when i understand loyalty.

I want better things...
Imagining...
The loathing it brings.
But derision has stopped causing me tears,
i only cry when i've lied
and all the truth appears.

A vow never to return once more.
I watch the rain
and hold the pain
but i suffer in silence again.

It appears you do not suffer as silently as you may think...your poetry speaks for you. I'm in the mood to think deep thoughts so please bear with me. I feel the pain in this poem is about physical suffering as a result of illness although there is little descriptiveness within to support that--leaving me unsure. If I may offer a bit of advice it is that you move away from ambiguity in your work and closer to clarity.

As for saving...I firmly believe we must save ourselves. Others help along the way but the hard work is up to us.

A vow never to return once more.

I watch the rain

and hold the pain

but i suffer in silence again....

This says it all such is life!
