Everyday is Another Day.
The morning sun shone brightly
and i breathed in the fresh air.
I walked brisk and lightly
seemingly without a care.
I've become a stranger to myself.
I have a new determination and drive.
I've found something worth much more than wealth,
i'm stronger, and happier, and i feel alive.
I don't dwell on memories,
i hope they continue to decay.
My head won't swell with pointless history
because everyday is another day.
The names and the pain that i recall
no longer have a hold over me anymore.
I see jealous eyes
and hear ludicrous lies
but that won't stop me living a good life.
Everything feels right to me
as i breathe in the morning air.
I don't know exactly where i'm going to be
but i'm looking forward to getting there.

A poem full of faith in the future . I like your "raw" style and your approach to life - this one will be one of my favourites! Wishing you a joyful day-Pia
