in love?

You know that feeling…

That feeling that makes it difficult to breathe
But still you have never felt more alive
That feeling which makes you cry
Even though you have never been so happy
That feeling that makes the sun shine brightly
In the dead if the darkest night…
Oh we all know that wonderful warmth on the coldest winter’s day
That makes you dance on mountains
In the middle of a city street.
To feel the unconditional happiness of a innocent child
Where no explanation is needed and no questions asked
And you’re breathing in sweet roses.
Yes that feeling that can break your soul
With the pain of a thousand swords in your vulnerable bleeding heart
And then in a blink of an eye, every tear every cried, every break on your heart

Is worth ten times over for just a flutter of the ultimate indescribable bliss.
We will never understand it
Nor do we want to
All that matters is that we feel it.

Even the most beautiful words ever written by Shakespeare, Keats and Poe
Will never be able to capture the true feeling of this ultimate bliss
All that truly matters in the end
Is that you’ll be able to ask:

”You know that feeling..?”
Author's Notes:
Lou suggested I take on an "experiment".  I embarked on it, and this is the result of my "experiment"
So Mr Ward, thank you so much for your help and guidance, continuously!!
And of course to my wonderful J that suggested some editing bits, and for the wings...

"love is the pain and rapture of being truly alive." i'd read this in a poetry book my friend gave me. it's true for love is life. if you haven't loved, you haven't truly lived a life. this is a beautiful poem. it sinks in to one's heart and mind.

you know what is beautiful about can relate to how the poet feels but you can never trully precieve it the way they did. even when i look over things i wrote years ago i may not have the same feeling i did them but it still brings out the emotion within me...awesom write but you didnt need to hear that from me. you have been recognise by many. well more than i could ever hope for. keep writing. every thought has a use its just up to you to make the pieces fit..

Looking at one side of this coin,

It seems to be the meaning found.

Then comes the day It turns,

Its the love nerver returnd,

That hurls us into an endless strugglle.

If we can't turn the coin,

 then we must turn ourselves.

Beautiful Write

Fantastic absolutely fantastic!!

To take on a challenge such as being in love...........huge problem not to make it all wine and roses.

You have captured "how it is!"

OMG just blown away.

We will never understand it
Nor do we want to
All that matters is that we feel it.

Perfect! What more can be said?

Some things don't need to be broken down and analysed - we just know.

You just nailed it in those three lines, Adri.

Beautiful words to a beautiful state of mind.  Wonderful juxtaposing of opposites which masterly portrays love as a paradox ;)  Very nice!  Defies the mental restrictions we try to impose upon it which your poem so clearly shows us.  Beautiful!  Congrats on the award!! Cheers!  Aeth

What a good write this is and you have captured the feeling so well, it may have been an experiment but it is also an outstanding success well done.

Great experiment..Flows like The danube..Who needs to understand love..Science has tried to distill it down to a set of chemical reactions..LOve is a power no amount of science will ever explain..All you need is love-Love is all there is...len
