Forever Yours.
I looked upon your soft pale face
For now this last in time
No more to see those sparkling eyes
That once stared into mine
No longer will I feel your breath
Brush past my eager lips
Or ever see the sun go down
On summers golden trips
My heartaches with an agony
As though filled with broken glass
That twists and turns within my breast
As I think about the past
I  know you would not want this
You would say It was but fate
But I will be forever yours
Till we meet again at heavens gate
For then we'll be again as one
Two hearts within a core
Rekindled love upon Gods realm
Together for evermore.

Well named. Clear message. Bittersweet.

Often when one partner dies the living partner dies inside too...some hearts never heal.

Sir Graham, Oh ___ My how did I miss this..??

It is a heartbreaker to read.. tears slide  down my cheeks as I read it once again.. To love like this is so powerful and it hurts so bad,, we just don't understand..

God, Graham! This made MY heart ache! You penned a beautiful, sad piece here...and it moved me to tears...which doesn't happen easily for me.

Sadly beautiful, my dear friend...My heart aches for you!

Another comment. This reminds me of the wistfulness and sadness of Cristina Rosetti's writings. Michael
