I'm free

I lost my dog today

The sky came for him

I stood beneath the sky and I smiled for him

For his runs to the river

For his food, for his water

For the years he spent in our family

I lost my dog today

But his memory will forever be

Was such a lovable mutt that captured our hearts

Im sure hed say just miss me a little

Drink for me and smile for me

For I had a good innings

And I am now forever

Running sideways in the fields with the rabbits

I am free

Author's Notes:
I lost my dog yesterday. He died of a heart attack at age 15. Everybody used to laugh at the way he ran cause it looked almost sideways. He was the scruffiest mongrel but the best dog. Love you Scruffy.

Hi, Cherie.....
I am so sorry for your loss....15 years is a long time, and that just made you even MORE attached to the little love....Indeed, he is run sideways and forever....He will be over that rainbow bridge waiting, I suppose....(smile)
