Then Sings My Soul

Smiling, eyes closed, head lifted.

Though dark, the son shining on my face.

Warm, safe, exhilarating.

Oh, how I love this place.

Sea of voices, clapping hands.

Hearts intertwined in the vine.

The Body of Christ dancing.

Holy, concrete shrine.

Drums beating, hearts singing,

Egos low, hands above.

Guitars wailing, ears ringing!

Love. Love. Love. Love!

Makes me remember the old days before I left my church over their refusal to accept that many paths lead to our Father.

I used to be a 3 times on a Sunday and prayer group worshipper.

I love it, Dori.  I just love it!  I'm right there with you.  What a wonderful service.  And I love your phrase, "the son shining on my face".  That's just the way it feels sometimes.

I really love the Nature symbolism - It is like a warm comforting hug,

and the end! - what a great way to end - with a summation of it all "Love. Love. Love. Love!"

Ahh. Nothing quite as uplifting and peaceful to the soul as the song service at church. Very nicely represented.
