Blood Pressure
The pressure of my blood
goes straight to my brain.
Feel like the voices
are screaming again.
One voice says don't worry,
another don't care,
still another voice says
you've been treated unfair.
As my blood pressure rises
one voice is shut out.
It's the voice of all reason
that brings me to doubt.
3 things are missing
from the screams in my brain.
Am I going insane?
Trust is an issue that is easily broke.
Faith is important, but lost it's no joke.
Hope is the key that opens closed doors.
Without all three the screams seem to soar.
I take a deep breath and count to ten.
My blood pressure lowers as I awaken again.
I quiet the screams and now see the light.
With my trust, faith and hope
everything is alright.

I hear you on this write! My blood pressure is borderline, and it wouldn't take much for it to soar...My kids have seen it get pretty high on occasion.

As for the "section" to put it in...I think this one is fine...Either this one or Rants and Venting. I know it's a source of incredible upset...Blood pressure can really push you over the edge...Larry's been battling it for around 23 or 24 years now...four meds a day for it. Just watch your stress level and take care of yourself...I need my Bubba around, you know!

Love you!

Great write, Fletcher! It's so easy to misplace any of those three essentials in the heat of a moment! Seems like we feel that pressure better as we get older. Sounds like you're listening within. That's so much the key. You'll be alright! Rich
