The devil cried- a 9/11 remeberance
When all the world is cast into chaos
The devil sings his song of joy
While everything crumbles around us
He looks for more he can destroy
But eleven September outdid his evil
Brought salty tears to his satanic eyes
With death and destruction all around him
It tore away his evil disguise
It was then the devil cried tears from heaven
For this evil had outdone his own
And theyu did it under the cloak of religion
As it chilled him right down to the bone
With all the country's people united by tragedy
Bonded with a sea full of tears
They stood with their faces filled with defiance
Underlying their greatest fears
The devil stood touched by this unified display
As he vowed his revenge with glee
God can the two of us work hand in hand
Just send the evil doers to me

Henry you have written an amazing piece here.Satan, yes. Evil, most certainly. That chilling day left it's imprint on all our hearts. All who love peace and freedom began to realize it will always come at some great cost. This day it cost the lives of 3000....and the innocence of everyone of us as Americans. May we indeed never forget.

AWESOME and powerful, Henry...and words that have touched me deeply. I sooo remember this's like it was just yesterday, and I pray that we never have to endure that type of tragedy again.

You've written an extremely powerful write, Henry...Words straight from your heart and soul...which are both wonderful, by the way! Otherwise, how could you create the work you create...

May we always remember what happened on this day of tragic days...and always bond together as a country...

Excellent poem and tribute, you gave me goosebumps from your words.

"It was then the devil cried tears from heaven

For this evil had outdone his own

And they did it under the cloak of religion"

Excellent lines,, they all were, but these stood out the most
for me. 9/11 is etched in the minds of people in England also and I
know I'll be thinking of those who lost their lives on that terrible
day & my heart goes out to the families that lost their loved ones.
