Over and Over

Steam so thick a knife couldn’t penetrate

Hot water flowing across my body

To cleanse, clean this dirty soul

Down the drain go my worries

You’d never know it but my mind is full

Reminiscent thoughts of you

Memories I will always cherish

Of days spent laughing, and sleeping

This smile on my face…

You’re the one that put it there

This song in my heart

It sings only for you…

Over and over, over and over
I fall for you
Over and over, over and over
You make me fall for you

Music so loud the walls vibrate

War drums beat through my body

Awakening this calm soul

This rhythm makes my anxiety go

Just look at me see me glow

My heart is swelling with joy

I sit here and think about you

And of all the times we've shared

This smile on my face…

You’re the one that put it there

This song in my heart

It sings only for you…

Over and over, over and over
I fall for you
Over and over, over and over
You make me fall for you

Author's Notes:
*oops* I forgot a stanza, lol all fixed now
The bolded words are from the chorus of “Over and Over” by Three Days Grace, but I took some words out because the song is more about not wanting to fall for the person, and in my case that’s not true. I love that I constantly fall for him and he doesn’t even mean to make me fall. So basically this poem is saying…I want to keep falling for you over and over…I love you

This is wonderful! And we should all be so lucky to retain that feeling.
