To Each, Their Own Drum
A parade of one marches to her own beat.
Trudging down the street she marches,
always marching on.

A parade of one dances just for fun.
Spinning down the street she dances,
always dancing on.

She may laugh and she may cry,
she sees the world going by.
For no matter what,
she is always moving on.

A parade.
Always a parade.
There MUST be a parade!

Listen to the music coming from her soul!!
Ah! You hear it now.
You see it,
and you become your own parade of one.
After all,
everyone needs a little fanfare.
Author's Notes:
Just my goofy way of saying, no matter how good or bad life is, we should always celebrate just who we are.

Personally, I prefer the downplay, but viva la diference.  Rock on.

You should get a record deal for this one... And lift pop music out of the sleaze pit! Here's my thanks for giving the world something positive to tap a foot to!

Excellent in all its truth. I'm marching on, although most of the time it is to the beat of my own drum, but I march none the less...C'mon, everybody loves a parade!! You have done a great job of reminding us that celebration is not only warranted, but deserved for one and all.
